As part of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes with detail and consistency. Your positive energy and kitchen skills will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. We are looking for motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to develop their culinary expertise. New hires that need full training start at $17.50/Hr. We start cooks with established professional experience and skills at $20/Hr, with raises delivered upon mastery of stations.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and safety guidelines
- Ensure food handling practices meet all food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils
- Support food preparation for catering events or large orders, ensuring timely delivery
- Handle food with care, demonstrating knife skills and proper cooking techniques
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is HIGHLY preferred
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen safety protocols
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling techniques
- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
- Knowledge of the food industry standards related to sanitation, safety, and quality assurance
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques are desirable
