Project Engineer

Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee, for our new project in Alcoa. The Project Engineer will provide technical and administrative support for construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role works closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, clients, and vendors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist project teams with planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities.
- Support field personnel by helping resolve technical and construction-related issues.
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Help maintain quality standards throughout all phases of construction.
Project Planning and Coordination
- Assist in preparing project schedules.
- Track project progress and communicate updates to the project team.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment needs, and subcontractor activities.
- Support procurement and project planning efforts.
- Provide safety orientation to all subcontractors.
Construction Support
- Perform site visits to monitor project progress and verify work is completed according to plans and specifications.
- Review and process RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
- Help identify and resolve field issues to minimize project delays.
- Promote safe work practices and compliance with company policies.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain organized project files, reports, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
- Assist with project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and closeout documents.
- Ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Located in the Alcoa/Knoxville area.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in construction, utilities, or a related industry is preferred but not required.

- Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, or similar construction software is beneficial.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in both office and outdoor construction environments.
- Ability to walk active job sites over uneven terrain.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions as needed.

Pay: $74,523.43 - $89,748.65 per year
