Delivery Driver (Full-Time)
Where: Akron, OH – Onsite at Ideal Baking Company
Start Time: Start times vary from as early as 4:00 AM Mon-Fri
Days Off: Saturday & Sunday

Job Summary
We’re looking for a dependable Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you'll deliver baked goods to customers, maintain delivery accuracy and timing, and provide excellent service as the face of our bakery on the road.
Key Responsibilities
Deliveries & Driving:
- Operate company box trucks safely on assigned routes
- Deliver baked goods to customers on time with accuracy
- Load/unload products, rotate stock, and collect returns (blue trays)
- Maintain an average pace of 3 stops per hour
- Use GPS or maps to navigate efficiently
Customer Service:
- Provide friendly and professional service during deliveries
- Communicate with customers and resolve minor issues on the spot
- Monitor inventory at retail/wholesale locations and process credits
Safety & Maintenance:
- Perform routine vehicle checks before and after deliveries
- Report safety or maintenance concerns
- Keep delivery vehicle clean and organized
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols
Requirements
- Box truck delivery experience or a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Reliable and punctual with early morning availability
- Able to lift and carry 50 lbs or more regularly
- Comfortable with physical work, including walking, lifting, and stairs
- Strong communication, time management, and validation skills
- Experience in route delivery preferred
Schedule
- Monday-Friday
- Full-time role with an early morning schedule and afternoons free
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
