Tiello has partnered with a leading electrical contractor specializing in large-scale commercial, industrial, and mission-critical electrical construction. As the company continues to expand its presence throughout the Southeast, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee complex electrical projects from preconstruction through closeout.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, enjoys building strong client relationships, and has experience managing high-value electrical projects, particularly within data center environments.
Position Overview
The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for managing all phases of assigned electrical construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will work closely with field leadership, estimating, subcontractors, vendors, and clients while maintaining financial accountability throughout each project's lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial, industrial, and mission-critical electrical construction projects from kickoff through final closeout
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, job costing, and financial reporting
- Coordinate project turnover from estimating to operations and field teams
- Develop project schedules, schedule of values, billing projections, and monthly progress reports
- Purchase major equipment and materials while managing subcontractor procurement
- Prepare and price change orders while maintaining positive client relationships
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, quality, productivity, and safety
- Collaborate with superintendents to establish project goals, manpower strategies, and execution plans
- Review project costs, monitor profitability, and identify opportunities for operational improvements
- Lead project closeout activities, including documentation, punch lists, and owner turnover
- Participate in post-project reviews to improve future project performance
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with owners, general contractors, vendors, and industry partners
Required Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of experience managing commercial electrical construction projects
- Proven experience managing data center electrical projects is required
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, scheduling, and project financials
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, change orders, and client communications
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Electrical Superintendent or Estimator
- OSHA 30 Certification
- AutoCAD, BIM, or coordination software experience
- Experience managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
- Strong understanding of design-build project delivery
Physical & Work Environment Expectations
- Combination of office and active construction site environments
- Regular travel to project sites throughout the Atlanta area
- Ability to navigate active construction sites, including climbing ladders and accessing elevated work areas
- Strong collaboration with office staff, field leadership, clients, and subcontractors
