Responsibilities

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term health.
- Take and develop medical images such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting treatment plans, patient responses, and procedural notes in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe environment for all.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
- Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably with exposure to general dentistry.
- Proficiency in dental terminology, and documentation review processes.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient recordkeeping.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control standards, HIPAA regulations, and medical terminology.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting duties confidently while maintaining excellent patient care standards.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus for working effectively with young patients.
