Summary:
To develop students' interest, abilities, talents and skills for musical expression and creativity in the arts, as well as understanding and appreciation by implementing an engaging curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; developing lesson plans; modeling the necessary skills to perform assigned tasks; providing a safe, responsible, and respectful learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
Qualifications:
-
Minimum of a bachelor level degree in education discipline related to teaching assignment required

PDE Music Pk-12 certification required; Special Education Pk-12 certification preferred

3-5 years experience working with Special Education Students preferred
-
Current police, child abuse & FBI fingerprint clearances
-
Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)
Duties & Responsibilities:

Instruct individuals in skill areas
-
Plan curriculum, lessons, and special education programs and teaching methods
-
Evaluate and monitor student progress based on classroom performance, test scores, and observation of behavior

Support objectives and interventions of the educational program

Maintain safe physical environment of the classroom
-
Maintain contact with parents of students and/or professionals concerning student progress
2026 - 2027 school year salary (based on experience):

$62,155 to $89,730 - Instructional I Certification
-
$64,834 to $93,324 - Instructional II Certification
-
$69,353 to $101,911 - Master's Degree
-
$74,415 to $107,845 - Masters + 30

Monday- Friday
7.5 hours/day
