St. Mark’s, established in 1979, is a coeducational parish day school, serving students from age two through Grade 8 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The foundation of St. Mark’s program is to provide students with balanced exposure to academics, arts, athletics, and spiritual life.
Position Summary
St. Mark’s Episcopal School is conducting a search for a dynamic educator to serve as a Part-time Christian Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The Christian Education Teacher is responsible for instructing students in various aspects of the Christian faith, and creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment where students can grow in their understanding of Christian principles and values.
Qualified candidates should have the following competencies:
● An understanding of Christian principles and values
● An ability to establish and maintain strong home-to-school partnerships
● Professional and polished interpersonal skills to build strong relationships
● Excellent communication skills, oral and written
● Proficiency in educational technology
Key Responsibilities
● Teaching Christian education classes
● Developing and implementing lesson plans that align with Christian education principles
● Fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes spiritual growth and character development
● Preparing students for weekly chapel services
● Collaborating with church leaders and teachers
Professional Qualifications and Skills
● Minimum bachelor’s degree
● Strong commitment to the Christian faith and values
● Experience in teaching or working with youth in a Christian educational setting
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
● Knowledge of educational technology and its integration into Christian education
