The Department of Pathology, Immunology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine, Gainesville, FL, invites applications for an academic Head and Neck and/or Pulmonary Pathologist. Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, board certification in Anatomic Pathology or AP/CP, and possess or be eligible for a Florida Medical license. Subspecialty fellowship training or experience in head and neck or pulmonary pathology is also required.
Primary service responsibilities include sign-out mainly within their subspecialty, tumor board and clinical conferences, frozen section and AP call coverage. The successful applicant will contribute to medical student, resident and fellowship training in accredited programs within Pathology. Scholarly study and investigation in the applicant's area of interest is expected. An opportunity for departmental leadership role in Thoracic pathology is possible.
