Overview
We need a proactive, assertive Plumbing Manager who can take-charge our plumbing team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure project efficiency, and uphold safety standards. Your expertise will drive the success of complex plumbing projects while mentoring team members and maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Duties
- Manage and coordinate plumbing projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion within budget
- Supervise plumbing crews, assign tasks, and monitor work quality to meet company standards
- Oversee estimating processes related to plumbing scopes of work
- Coach, train, and mentor plumbers and apprentices to improve skill and consistency
- Monitor KPIs such as revenue, close rate, callbacks, and customer satisfaction
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings to plan installation procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular site inspections for hazards
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to facilitate smooth communication
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques for installation and repairs
- Conduct field service visits for troubleshooting, maintenance, or remodeling projects
Experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience managing plumbing teams
- Proven experience in plumbing with a strong understanding of commercial and residential systems
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and mechanical knowledge of plumbing systems
- Hands-on experience with estimating, pipe threading, welding, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate construction equipment as needed
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and project planning
