At DSD we distribute and merchandise food products to customers in partnership with premium grocery stores. We've been in business for over 25 years, growing from two to over 150 offices up and down the West Coast. We're seeking talented, hardworking merchandisers to join our team!
Our merchandisers are a critical part of our operations. You will work on our front line, servicing and maintaining our sections in your assigned stores. You'll be responsible for our bulk foods sections, including making orders, cleaning, and optimizing the displays.
This is a part-time position, with stores from Cathedral City to Coachella (Monday through Friday) averaging a total of five to seven (5-7) hours a week.
Mileage between stores is reimbursed.
You will do well in this role if you meet the following criteria:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; you'll work with several people, both members of our team and our clients
- Ownership of your work and results; we're relying on you to own your area and take responsibility for results
- A customer-first mindset; we exist to get great food to people who want it, and want to hear your ideas and feedback to make the customer experience better
- Have a minimum of one year of grocery merchandising experience
- Have a valid California drivers' license, a clean driving record, personal vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation):
- Ability to walk, bend down, twist, reach, and grab repeatedly, and be on feet for shift
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds of product
- Ability to drive safely
