Duties
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate early childhood education principles.
- Engage children in hands-on activities that promote cognitive development, social skills, and emotional regulation.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about each child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to build strong partnerships.
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards in accordance with childcare regulations and mandated reporting laws.
- Monitor child development progress through observation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan special events, lessons, and activities that enhance the preschool experience for all children.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; familiarity with toddler care and early intervention strategies is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development instruction, behavior management techniques, classroom management strategies, and literacy education
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Demonstrated understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety.
- Experience with curriculum development across various subjects.
- Ability to work part-time hours reliably while maintaining a positive attitude and energetic approach to teaching young learners.
