Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as TOAST, ensuring efficient order entry and processing
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food handling, preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments
- Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, TOAST, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order management and sales transactions
- Strong culinary experience or background in fine dining environments to understand menu offerings and food presentation standards
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in the food industry with roles involving serving, bussing, hosting/hostess duties, or nightclub service preferred
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and check splitting
