We’re seeking a strategic, collaborative, and mission-driven Director of Workforce & Financial Success to lead JBNC’s workforce development, financial wellness, and asset development initiatives. This role oversees the implementation and growth of programs designed to help neighbors increase earnings, strengthen financial stability, and achieve their personal and professional goals.
As a member of the Neighbor Success leadership team, this position provides strategic direction, program oversight, staff leadership, community partnership development, and performance management while ensuring services are delivered effectively and in alignment with the Center for Working Families (CWF) model.
- Lead the strategy, implementation, and continuous improvement of workforce development and financial wellness programs
- Oversee the Center for Working Families service delivery model and ensure high-quality neighbor experiences
- Supervise, coach, and develop staff while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with employers, training providers, funders, and community organizations
- Monitor program outcomes and use data to evaluate effectiveness and drive improvements
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements, contracts, and reporting obligations
- Manage program budgets and identify opportunities to maximize resources and impact
- Collaborate across departments to support JBNC’s two-generation (2Gen) approach and organizational goals
- Ensure accurate data collection, reporting, and performance tracking across multiple systems
- Support innovative solutions that improve workforce, financial, and family success outcomes for neighbors served
- Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of experience in workforce development, financial coaching strategy, or related fields
- Three or more years of program leadership and staff management experience
- Experience working within complex systems and managing multiple priorities
- Strong operational and organizational skills, including process development and implementation
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Experience using technology and data systems to track outcomes and inform decision-making
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software applications and reporting systems
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Experience managing workforce development, career coaching, or financial empowerment programs
- Knowledge of the Center for Working Families model or similar integrated service delivery approaches
- Experience with grant-funded programs and compliance requirements
- Established relationships within workforce development, education, or community-based service sectors
