Industrial Vending & Systems Specialist
Regional Travel – Georgia, South Carolina & Surrounding Areas
Position Summary
We are seeking an Industrial Vending & Systems Specialist to support and manage our automated industrial vending systems, inventory control processes, and related technology infrastructure.
This position requires regional travel throughout Georgia, South Carolina, and surrounding areas. The role combines hands-on industrial vending and inventory management with IT and technical support.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently at customer manufacturing facilities, troubleshooting technology, managing inventory, analyzing usage data, and providing excellent customer support.
Key Responsibilities
Industrial Vending & Inventory
- Administer and support automated industrial vending systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through replenishment planning, cycle counts, and audits.
- Establish and monitor minimum/maximum inventory levels.
- Analyze product usage and recommend inventory optimization strategies.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Coordinate with purchasing and internal teams to maintain product availability.
- Assist with new vending machine installations, setups, and system upgrades.
- Track inventory and tooling through issuance, usage, and replacement.
Systems & Technical Support
- Support network-connected vending machines and inventory tracking equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and communication issues.
- Configure user accounts, permissions, and system access.
- Train customers and employees on vending systems and inventory processes.
- Support Windows-based systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Assist with workstation, printer, and peripheral connectivity when needed.
- Generate and analyze reports using Excel, SQL databases, and inventory management software.
- Work with internal IT resources to resolve technical issues affecting vending operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of experience in inventory management, tool crib operations, manufacturing support, industrial vending, IT support, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer locations and priorities.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SupplyPoint, AutoCrib, Matrix, or similar industrial vending systems.
- Experience supporting automated inventory or vending equipment.
- Basic knowledge of CNC tooling, cutting tools, inserts, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
- SQL database and reporting experience.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Azure AD.
- Familiarity with Windows Server environments.
Travel Requirements
- Regional travel throughout Georgia, South Carolina, and surrounding areas.
- Approximately 25% travel, depending on customer and project needs.
- Travel may include vending installations, inventory audits, system upgrades, troubleshooting, and onsite training.
- Travel is primarily Monday through Friday.
- Minimal weekend travel is expected except for rare critical business needs.
- Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement provided for approved business travel.
