Deceuninck North America is seeking a Compound Team Lead for its Monroe, OH facility. In this role, the Compound Team Lead coordinates and lead the day-to-day activities in Compounding and Material Handling. Responsible for daily operation and execution in the Compound Department.
Shift Crew 3 - 6:45am - 7:00pm (2-2-3 shift pattern)
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe work environment by complying with all federal, state, local, and company regulations through safety audits and training.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice Compound vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures, training program, and KPIs/metrics to aid and improve operational performance.
- Supports Production growth and development of departmental talent at all levels.
- Produce written reports and make presentations.
- Work with the schedulers, production and TR to ensure that Compound needs are met.
- Collaborates with, production and scheduling departments by tracking and managing daily inventories and placement of team members.
- Department administrative task such as payroll, vacation, shift reporting, and performance appraisals.
- Suggestions and recommendations as to the hiring, termination, advancement, promotion, or other status changes of associates.
- Daily operation and execution in the Compound Department covering, Mixer Schedules, Ribbon Blender schedules and daily Material Handling Needs.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing plant; plastic extrusion or compounding highly desired
- Knowledge of government regulations including, OSHA, EPA, and DOT
- Previous policy/procedure development
- Proficient in MS programs, particularly Excel and PPT
- Comfortable with public speaking, developing training visuals
- Must be a self-starter and deadline oriented
- Organized, detail oriented, team player
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in U.S.
