Position Overview
We are seeking experienced and professional Mobile Phlebotomists to provide in-home specimen collection services throughout New Jersey and surrounding areas.
This position is ideal for highly skilled phlebotomists who are comfortable working independently, traveling to patient homes, and performing successful specimen collections across diverse patient populations.
The ideal candidate will have strong venipuncture skills, excellent patient care abilities, and experience working with pediatric, adult, geriatric, and Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and physical disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Travel to patient homes, assisted living facilities, and designated collection sites
- Perform venipuncture and capillary collections according to established protocols
- Verify patient identity and ensure accurate specimen labeling
- Package and transport specimens in accordance with laboratory requirements
- Maintain professionalism, patient confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance
- Accurately document completed visits and collection details
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and scheduling staff
- Adhere to all applicable safety and infection-control standards
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience required
- Demonstrated experience performing difficult venipunctures and specimen collections
- Experience working with pediatric, adult, geriatric, disabled, and special-needs populations
- Active Phlebotomy Certification preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Current automobile insurance
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage a mobile schedule
- Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
Contractor Requirements
- Must provide and maintain personal phlebotomy supplies and equipment
- Must maintain all required professional licenses, certifications, and credentials
- Must have a smartphone with reliable internet access
- Must be comfortable traveling throughout the assigned service area
- Must be able to work independently in various home-care environments
Compensation & Reimbursements
- $25–$35 per hour based on experience and assignment type
- Mileage reimbursement for travel exceeding 25 miles at $0.725 per mile
