Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records/Scheduler to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have their CNA or QMA and possess a strong understanding of health information management, and scheduling practices. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records, managing nursing schedule, and ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy regulations. Your contribution will be vital in supporting seamless patient care delivery and operational efficiency within our medical facility.
Duties
- Organize and maintain comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) and medical records in accordance with health information management standards.
- Schedule efficiently, coordinating with staff to optimize facility flow and reduce OT/Agency.
- Ensure clinical confidentiality policies are strictly followed to protect patient privacy and comply with healthcare privacy regulations.
- Update patient information accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure all documentation meets health regulation policies and medical coding standards.
- Maintain knowledge of health regulation policies and healthcare privacy laws to ensure ongoing compliance across all record-keeping activities.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation, communication, and data management tasks.
- Extensive experience with health information management systems, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, records management practices, and medical coding procedures.
- Knowledge of healthcare privacy protection laws and clinical confidentiality policies to safeguard sensitive patient information.
- Familiarity with health regulation policies, including compliance standards related to health information regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and administrative staff.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy in records and scheduling activities.
