The Operations Manager position to serve as the hands-on operational deputy to our Director of Operations. This is a mobile role designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced transportation environment and is energized by moving between locations, solving real-time operational problems, and developing a team of Terminal Office Coordinators.
You will float between our three terminals as directed by the Director of Operations, providing day-to-day operational direction, dispatch and scheduling expertise, and on-the-ground leadership wherever the need is greatest.
What You'll Do
- Float between BCT's three terminals as directed, providing operational leadership wherever it is most needed
- Provide day-to-day operational direction to Terminal Office Coordinators at all three locations
- Manage or back up dispatch and scheduling functions at any terminal
- Make real-time decisions to keep service running smoothly: routing adjustments, staffing coverage, problem resolution
- Coach Terminal Office Coordinators and frontline staff on operational best practices
- Conduct wheelchair securement certifications and support light onboarding of new hires
- Coordinate across terminals and with Customer Service to align resources with rider needs
- Support investigation of accidents, incidents, and operational issues in partnership with the Director of Operations
- Execute on operational strategies, SOPs, and performance standards established by the Director of Operations

- Direct paratransit experience strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or lead experience
- Proven ability to relate to and earn the respect of frontline transportation workers
- Practical understanding of high-turnover industry dynamics and what it takes to keep operations running through staffing changes

- Dispatch and scheduling software experience (Ecolane preferred; training provided)
- Wheelchair securement certification preferred (training and certification provided to the right candidate)
- Strong geographic knowledge of Bucks County and surrounding regions
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (for daily travel between terminals)
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's preferred
