Position Overview: The Hub Driver/Warehouse is a hybrid role supporting both box truck pickups/deliveries and warehouse fulfillment. The Hub Driver plans delivery routes, picks up donated product, loads/unloads trucks, and maintains inventory counts for all salvage retail product. This individual works closely with an estimated 100 food pantries across the DFW Metroplex to maintain access to nutritious food for our Hub partners. The warehouse work includes order fulfillment, customer service, and inventory maintenance. This position is for a full-time driver working Wednesday - Sunday.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory of available retail product
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including fork lifts and pallet jacks
- Provide excellent customer service to our partnering food pantries and donors
- Safely and timely load/unload delivery trucks
- Pick/pull customer orders and build pallets for distribution
- Ability to safely operate large box trucks and other Sharing Life vehicles
- Accurately track and log daily activities
- Maintain a clean vehicle, free of hazards and potential food safety issues
- Recognize and adhere to all local, state, and federal safety requirements
- Candidates must submit to background check and have a clear driving record
Physical Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. The employee may lift, carry or otherwise move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Pay: $18.50 per hour
