The Sr. Engineer – AWS is responsible for designing, building, and operating secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-based solutions on Amazon Web Services. This role provides technical leadership across cloud engineering initiatives, ensuring platforms and services meet enterprise standards for performance, reliability, cost efficiency, and security. The Senior Engineer partners closely with all application, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to enable modern engineering practices, accelerate cloud adoption, and support business-critical workloads through robust architecture, automation, and continuous improvement.

Understanding of Agile development and extensive hands-on participation with SDLC life cycle
Working proficiency with collaboration and tech documentation toolsets like workflows and use case diagrams.

Excellent communication skills to present the API vision to stakeholders both internal and 3rd party clients.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership:
To work across multiple phases of software development within a project as a team member or dealing with the most technically challenging assignments. This includes:
Working directly with business areas to clarify detailed technical requirements.
Designing, coding and unit testing the most complex software components for new or enhanced IT systems to a high level of quality, producing appropriate documentation.
Providing technical support to business analyst/project managers and coaching to less experienced staff across a geographically dispersed teams
Maintaining an expert level awareness of relevant software design techniques, development tools and processes, providing leadership in the use of these across the organization area.
Decision-making and Problem Solving:
Strong technical analytical skills are required to identify key trade-offs in solutions design and technology choices, analyze relevant problem spaces, define congruent solution spaces and design optimal technical solutions possessing flexibility sufficient to enable their evolution alongside the needs of the business.

Leveraging banking skills to ensure appropriate challenge and curiosity to peers and delivery partners who may not come from a financial services background
Strong judgement skills for the true risk assessment on controls or quality gaps. Ensuring an appropriate balance of conversation across experience, controls, speed to market, etc.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
4 year Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent subject or experience
6+ years of experience in working with Software development teams.
Ability to plan, deliver client integrations end-to-end from inception to the post-launch support with impeccable execution by working closely with internal and third party partners business stakeholders.
Deep understanding of enterprise architectures, integration patterns, and API security.
Ability to perform thorough competitive market research on Fintech products and aspects along with well versed with providing business reporting requirements and data analysis skills
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive experience with presentation skills to champion our Fintech services/products in a wide variety of large forums including tech incubators, town halls, partner meetings, architecture forums, etc.
Experience with Product Management and maintaining the product roadmap.
Extensive experience in working with Scrum development teams, tools like Jira/Rally/Confluence/etc.
Visualizations of integrations, user experience, workflows using tools like Visio / Draw.io / PowerPoint/ etc.
Consumer Banking Industry domain experience would help a great deal
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $40.45/hour - $63.20/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
