Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager to join our vibrant restaurant team. This pivotal role combines leadership, operational management, and exceptional customer service to ensure a seamless dining experience for all guests. As an Assistant Manager, you will support the restaurant’s daily operations, supervise staff, and uphold high standards of food quality, safety, and hospitality. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including overseeing food preparation, service flow, and cleanliness standards.
- Supervise and motivate team members, ensuring effective staff training, development, and adherence to company policies.
- Oversee food safety management practices, including proper food handling, sanitation procedures, and compliance with health regulations.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Utilize POS systems such as Tray for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Support shift management by coordinating staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during busy hours, and resolving operational issues promptly.
- Conduct staff interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a skilled and motivated team.
- Analyze profit and loss reports to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance financial performance.
- Foster a culture of excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and maintaining high service standards.
- Lead by example in food production, kitchen management, and supervising food safety protocols to ensure quality consistency across all offerings.
Experience
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and customer service.
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience within the hospitality or food industry is essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively through training, coaching, and leadership initiatives.
- Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis to drive operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations along with culinary experience or fine dining background is preferred.
- Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
