ON CALL ENGINEERING ASSISTANT
Sonico Inc. is seeking an experienced On-Call Aviation Engineer Assistant to provide technical support for aircraft maintenance and repair on an as-needed basis. This role is ideal for an engineer who can respond quickly to operational needs and provide accurate, timely technical guidance.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-call engineering support for aircraft maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot aircraft system issues and recommend corrective actions
- Review and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and maintenance documents
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and safety requirements
- Support maintenance teams with component evaluations and technical questions
- Respond to requests during normal and occasional after-hours periods
- Comfortable working at an adjustable table as well as computer terminal using CAD-KEY 98 in private office.
Qualifications
- Prior experience with commercial aircraft (Boeing, Airbus, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of aviation maintenance procedures and FAA regulations
- Ability to analyze technical issues and provide clear recommendations
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently in time-critical situations
