Position Title: Construction Superintendent

Reports To: Project Manager / Director of Construction

Position Summary
The Construction Superintendent runs day-to-day operations on the jobsite. You will lead all on-site execution, manage subcontractors, enforce safety rules, and control the project schedule and budget. Your goal is to make sure the project is built safely, correctly, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management: Lead all phases of on-site work from groundbreaking to final walkthrough.
Schedule Control: Build and manage a realistic project schedule and sequence daily trade activities.
Safety Enforcement: Maintain a strict safety-first jobsite culture
Subcontractor Coordination: Direct all sub-trade crews, suppliers, and field personnel to keep work moving smoothly.
Quality Control: Inspect workmanship daily and enforce contract specifications to prevent costly mistakes.
Communication: Run on-site meetings and update project managers, owners, and architects on progress.
Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, safety reports, and material tracking notes.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of construction experience with at least 2–3 years in an on-site supervisory role.
Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contract documents.
Leadership: Proven ability to manage trade crews, solve problems quickly, and keep stakeholders aligned.
Education: High school diploma required; a degree in construction management or engineering is a plus.
