Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sealcoating Foreman to lead and manage asphalt sealing projects with precision and efficiency. In this role, you will oversee the entire sealcoating process, coordinate crews, ensure safety compliance, and deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for excellence in pavement preservation and construction management. Duties
- Lead and supervise sealcoating crews to ensure efficient execution of asphalt sealing projects
- Coordinate project schedules, materials, and equipment to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to plan work effectively
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and federal construction safety regulations on all job sites
- Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, and safety audits regularly
- Manage project documentation using construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, or Primavera P6
- Oversee crew management, including training, performance evaluation, and safety enforcement
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to accurately execute project plans
- Coordinate construction schedule updates and communicate progress to stakeholders
- Maintain adherence to construction regulations, budgeting guidelines, and contract requirements
- Utilize tools like ohmmeters for quality assurance testing of materials when necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience supervising heavy civil or commercial construction projects with a focus on asphalt or pavement maintenance
- Strong knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid or similar tools
- Familiarity with OSHA standards, federal construction safety regulations, and construction safety management practices
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in project scheduling, budgeting, and managing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead crews effectively
- Construction site experience with a focus on sealcoating or asphalt paving preferred
- Knowledge of construction estimating techniques and contract management processes
- Ability to interpret technical specifications related to construction drawing review and schematics
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
