Position Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships, managing key accounts, and driving revenue growth throughout Southern California.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities.
- Develop relationships with municipalities, public works departments, engineering firms, HOAs, and property managers.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, and strategic outreach.
- Conduct sales presentations and client meetings.
- Build and maintain a healthy CRM pipeline.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close business.
- Maintain strong client relationships and identify growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- 3–7+ years of business development, outside sales, or account management experience.
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals.
- Strong prospecting, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pipedrive.
- Construction, municipal, public works, or B2B sales experience preferred.
