Job Title: Porter
Location: Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Porter to support daily kitchen operations at Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant. The Porter plays a key role in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and smooth workflow in the back-of-house area. This position is essential to ensuring food preparation and service areas remain sanitary, efficient, and well-maintained.
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment used during food preparation and service
- Clean and sanitize workstations, food prep areas, floors, and kitchen surfaces
- Properly store and organize cleaned items in designated areas
- Remove trash and maintain cleanliness of waste disposal areas
- Support kitchen staff with basic tasks as needed to ensure smooth workflow
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to management promptly
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate to heavy items
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to help where needed
- Reliability and punctuality are essential
- Previous kitchen or porter experience is a plus, but not required
This role involves working in a busy kitchen environment with exposure to heat, moisture, and frequent movement. Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required depending on store needs.
