Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pre/Post-Op
- Location: Bellefontaine, OH
- Start Date: 06/29/2026
- Duration: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Days
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Hours: 5:45 AM – 2:15 PM
- Shift Length: 8 Hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week
- Pay Rate: $63/hr (Blended)
Blended Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive pre-operative patient assessments
- Prepare patients for surgical and procedural interventions
- Monitor and assess patients during post-anesthesia recovery
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition promptly
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Provide patient and family education regarding procedures and recovery
- Review diagnostic results and communicate significant findings
- Complete accurate and timely documentation
- Assist with discharge planning and post-procedure instructions
- Float to other departments as needed based on patient care demands
- Respond effectively during emergencies and unexpected clinical situations
Required Experience
- Pre-Operative Nursing Experience – Required
- Post-Operative/PACU Nursing Experience – Required
- Ability to independently manage patient assignments
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Experience working in a surgical services environment preferred
Certifications Required
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
License Requirements
- Active Ohio RN License required
Schedule & Unit Expectations
- Monday–Friday day shift schedule
- Weekend requirements: TBD
- On-call requirements: TBD
- Must be flexible with scheduling adjustments based on unit needs
- Willingness to float to other departments as assigned
- Must accept low census when applicable
- Required to work weekends and holidays as needed by the facility
