J&L Transportation is The West’s Premier Intermodal Carrier, serving customers with safe, reliable, and efficient container transport. We are expanding our Reno/Sparks operation and looking for professional drivers who take pride in safety, consistency, and excellent service.
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Local Class A CDL Drivers to haul 53' rail containers in and out of the Union Pacific rail yard in Reno/Sparks. This is a stable, low‑stress driving position with no freight handling and daily home time.
Key Responsibilities
- Local Container Hauling of 53' rail containers
- Safe operation of Class A equipment, including manual transmission
- Timely pickups and deliveries within the Reno/Sparks area
- Professional communication with Dispatch via electronic logs and messaging
- Compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL
- 2 years of verifiable driving experience
- Safe driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Proficiency with manual transmission
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with intermodal or container work (we will train)
- Veterans strongly encouraged to apply
