Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lifeguard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our members and guests while maintaining a clean and healthy environment around the pool. This is a dynamic role that requires a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service while adhering to strict safety protocols.
Duties:
- Provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all pool users by actively monitoring the pool area and responding promptly to any emergencies or concerns.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintains active surveillance of the pool area.
- Perform regular pool cleaning and test the pool water.
- Knows and reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with YMCA policies, and procedures; completes related reports as required.
- Respond to and resolve any pool-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized pool area, including the pool deck, surrounding grounds, and surrounding facilities.
- Provide exceptional guest services by greeting guests, answering questions, and addressing any concerns or issues they may have.
- Participate in pool safety drills and training sessions to ensure that you are fully prepared to handle any situation that may arise.
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 15 .
- Certification as a Lifeguard or willingness to obtain certification within a reasonable timeframe. We will certify.
- Child abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
- Knowledge of pool safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness.
- Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized pool area.
- Strong swimming skills and ability to swim in a lifeguard capacity.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
