Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, maintaining consistency and quality in every dish
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow food safety guidelines diligently, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Support kitchen staff during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple orders and maintaining a clean workspace
- Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented attractively before serving
- Maintain inventory levels by monitoring supplies and communicating needs for restocking ingredients or utensils
Requirements
- Proven culinary experience in a restaurant or food service environment, showcasing strong knife skills and meal preparation abilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques to ensure guest safety and compliance with health regulations
- Experience food preparation, cooking techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with effective communication to coordinate smoothly with kitchen staff and front-of-house personnel
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
