Actively seeking a Machinist in the North Swanzey, NH area. This is a full time first shift position offering up to $24.00/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools, including lathes and mills
- Manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and models
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation
- Verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments
- Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and basic machine adjustments
- Maintain quality standards and ensure completed parts meet required tolerances
- Assist with troubleshooting machining and production issues
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Support other machining operations as workload and production needs require
Requirements:
- Experience with manual machining operations
- Experience with CNC turning and/or CNC milling
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges
- Surface grinding and cylindrical grinding experience is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm or 8:00am-4:30pm
