About Us
We are a growing consumer electronics company looking for a reliable and independent Sourcing Assistant to help identify, communicate with, and manage overseas suppliers.
This role is requires fluency in both English and Chinese. Ideal candidate has experience working with factories or suppliers, and can manage sourcing projects with limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- Source new products and suppliers, primarily from China
- Communicate with factories and vendors in Chinese and English
- Request quotes, product details, samples, lead times, and packaging information
- Compare supplier pricing, capabilities, quality, and reliability
- Follow up with suppliers to keep projects moving
- Help organize product, pricing, and vendor information
- Assist with product development communications
- Coordinate clearly to the internal team
Requirements
- Must be fluent in English
- Must be fluent in Chinese / Mandarin
- Must be located in the United States
- Prior experience with sourcing, purchasing, vendor management, or supplier communication
- Comfortable working independently and following up without constant direction
- Strong written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Able to work with overseas suppliers across different time zones
- Experience with consumer electronics, office products, or accessories is a plus
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable communicating directly with suppliers. You should be able to ask the right questions, compare options, follow up consistently, and help move sourcing projects from idea to sample to production.
