Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Audio/Video Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a wide range of audiovisual systems for both residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including live event AV production, system integration, and ongoing maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Install audiovisual equipment including audio systems, video conferencing systems, control systems, and cabling infrastructure according to schematics and blueprints
- Troubleshoot and repair AV systems, control systems, digital signal processing equipment, and related hardware to ensure optimal performance
- Read electrical schematics and blueprints to accurately implement system designs
- Operate and configure video conferencing platforms and audiovisual control systems for seamless user experience
- Perform routine maintenance on AV equipment, including cabling, mechanical components, and software updates
- Assist in the setup and operation of live event AV production projects with attention to detail
- Utilize hand tools and electrical testing devices to diagnose issues effectively while adhering to safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the AV industry with hands-on installation and troubleshooting skills
- Strong electrical experience including low voltage wiring, telecommunication wiring, and electrical schematic reading
- Knowledge of control system programming for AV systems and digital signal processing techniques
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts relevant to AV system integration
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams accurately
- Experience operating video conferencing systems and audiovisual control platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions
- Mechanical aptitude with proficiency in cabling techniques, equipment troubleshooting, and system maintenance
- Knowledge of software troubleshooting related to AV hardware and control systems
