Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Inspection and test status of parts, pumps and pump related items in order to ensure the quality of our products. Perform activities required for maintaining and improving MWI’s Quality Assurance Systems, including quality system documentation, inspection of products, measuring process performance and recording data. Any other duties as assigned by management or as develop due to business necessity and growth.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Ensuring welds meet code acceptance criteria through visual weld inspection
Ensuring weld joint preparation meets acceptance criteria
Documenting and communicating welding discontinuities and defects
Working in conjunction with the company CWI and being able to interpret code requirements
Ensure the inspection and test status of products is clearly identified
Collect data and/or perform testing and/or inspections during the manufacturing process
Follow current procedures, work instructions and forms required to perform inspections
Properly handle nonconforming products as required by procedure
Work with teams to change and improve quality objectives
Adhere to all safety practices, policies, and procedures
Provide assistance and work with engineering as well as other departments in order to maximize quality and production
Any other duties as assigned by management or as develop due to business necessity and growth.
Must Have:
- Experience using inspection tools including but not limited to: Calipers, Inside/Outside Micrometers, Depth Micrometer, Height Gauges Bore, Gauges and Indicators.
- Experience using welding inspection tools such as fillet weld gages
- Experience interpreting weld symbols
- Experience with visual weld inspection
- Ability to read standard orthographic blueprints
- Practical math skills
- Strong industrial safe work practices
- Strong organizational skills
- Heavy industrial experience
- Be hands on, assertive and self-starter
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to handle multiple projects under pressure in a fast-paced environment in order to meet deadline

Physical Demands: Must be able to work outdoors in the heat, stand, sit, feel, walk, talk, hear, bend, lift, crouch, crawl, climb, kneel, squat, push, and pull. Must be able to lift heavy items repeatedly. Specific vision (20/20 with or without corrective lenses) abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus in order to ensure accurate job performance.
