Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will support the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily housekeeping operations, including cleaning schedules, staff assignments, and quality control
- Supervise and motivate housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Coordinate cleaning tasks such as industrial cleaning, janitorial duties, laundry services, and custodial responsibilities across the property
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals to promote a safe working environment
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to uphold cleanliness standards
- Train new team members on housekeeping procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
- Support management in inventory control for cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment to optimize resource usage
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or hotel housekeeping management with a strong background in hospitality or commercial cleaning environments
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management skills and leadership qualities
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to industrial cleaning, laundry operations, and janitorial services
- Ability to oversee multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with staff and management teams
- Experience with hotel or hospitality industry standards is highly preferred
- Familiarity with management practices related to housekeeper supervision and team supervision
