About GS Exterior Experts
Founded in 1999, GS Exterior Experts is a family-owned exterior remodeling leader headquartered in Littleton, Colorado. With over 25 years of industry excellence, an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, and recognition in James Hardie’s President’s Club (top 1% nationally), we have established ourselves as one of the region's most trusted home improvement brands.
To fuel our rapid regional growth, we are looking for an ambitious, hands-on Canvassing Manager (Setter Manager) to lead, coach, and scale our high-velocity door-to-door appointment-setting team across the Denver Metro and surrounding areas.
Role Summary
As the Canvassing Manager (Setter Manager), you will lead from the front, combining personal field sales production with team leadership, coaching, and accountability. You will be responsible for building, training, and inspiring a team of field appointment setters who generate qualified consultations for our closing team.
This is not a desk job; it is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role. You will model field excellence through your own canvassing, conduct daily 15-minute field huddles, shadow new reps in the field, and ensure your team consistently meets lead generation and professionalism benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities1. Field Leadership & Team Coaching
- Lead from the Front: Drive personal field sales success by consistently setting qualified appointments and maintaining high monthly production benchmarks ($75K+ volume model) to set the standard for your team.
- Daily Field Huddles: Conduct energetic 15-minute morning field huddles ("hood meetings") to align the team, reinforce the 8-Step Ambassador Script, and build focus for daily neighborhood campaigns.
- In-Field Mentorship: Perform regular ride-alongs and field shadowing with new and struggling setters, coaching on objection handling, soft closing, and building instant trust at the door.
- Culture & Accountability: Foster a high-energy, positive, "work hard, play hard" culture built on accountability, mutual support, and continuous professional growth.
2. Operations & Field Management
- Territory & Operations Management: Manage daily field operations, including neighborhood territory mapping, team scheduling, and field deployment.
- Setter Support: Act as the primary operational and emotional support for field setters—handling scheduling, resolving field challenges, and keeping team morale high.
- Lead Quality & Metric Tracking: Monitor key metrics (doors knocked, contact rates, appointments set) using digital tracking tools.
- Qualification Standards: Enforce appointment qualification criteria.
3. Strategic Growth & Collaboration
- Management Alignment: Meet weekly with the Area Manager to analyze lead flow, review field metrics, refine door tactics, and adjust regional growth strategies.
- Seamless Handoff: Collaborate closely with the in-home closing team to ensure a seamless transition from canvass appointment to consultation.
- Recruiting & Onboarding Support: Assist executive leadership in interviewing, selecting, and onboarding promising new canvassing talent.
- Weather & Environment Resilience: Work outdoors across all Colorado weather conditions, maintaining professionalism, energy, and composure rain, shine, or snow.
Qualifications & RequirementsRequired Experience & Competencies
- Proven Track Record: 2+ years of successful door-to-door (D2D) canvassing, direct sales, or field marketing experience in home improvement (windows, siding, roofing, solar, or HVAC preferred).
- Leadership Capability: Demonstrated ability or clear potential to lead, motivate, coach, and retain top sales talent.
- Mastery of Field Selling: Expert understanding of door-to-door script execution, objection handling, building quick rapport, and soft closing.
- High Energy & Resilience: Self-motivated, competitive, and physically able to work on foot in diverse outdoor weather environments across the Denver metro area.
- Communication & Tech Literacy: Strong verbal communication skills with proficiency in field tracking software and mobile sales apps.
General Requirements
- Driver’s License & Mobility: Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable personal vehicle for territory travel across the Denver metro area.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a standard background check.
What We Offer
- Competitive Commission Structure: 9% commission on closed/produced team production, providing high uncapped earning potential for top leaders.
