We are a growing professional services firm specializing in regulatory compliance, internal audit, and loan review services for community based financial institutions. This role is primarily remote and requires periodic onsite travel throughout New England to support our clients. Job Responsibilities
As a Compliance Consultant/Auditor, you’ll play a vital role in helping financial institutions maintain regulatory compliance. You will take a consultive approach, guiding our valued clients through audits, risk assessments, and compliance evaluations to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct audits on loans and deposits to evaluate compliance with relevant regulations, including TILA/RESPA, HMDA, BSA/AML, Electronic Funds Transfer Act, and other consumer protection laws.
- Perform compliance risk assessments, Fair Lending analyses, and Community Reinvestment Act Evaluations.
- Communicate findings and recommendations promptly and provide detailed audit reports.
- Build strong client relationships by providing expert guidance and support.
- Lead training programs for clients and internal teams on regulatory topics.
- Stay informed on evolving regulations and industry best practices.
- Work remotely, with occasional travel within New England for onsite audits.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- Minimum of three years’ compliance experience in financial institutions or regulatory compliance roles.
- Strong knowledge of consumer regulatory compliance and the ability to work independently.
- CFE, CRCM, or CAMs certifications are preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and time management skills.
- Integrity, confidentiality, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel overnight as needed within New England.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
