Thompson Buick GMC Cadillac is looking for a detail-oriented and organized General Motors Warranty Administrator to join our Service Department!

The General Motors (GM) Warranty Administrator plays an important role in our Service Department by processing warranty claims, ensuring repairs are properly documented, and working closely with Service Advisors, Technicians, Parts, and management to ensure warranty repairs are accurately and efficiently handled.
- Process and submit manufacturer warranty claims accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review repair orders for completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation before submitting claims.
- Verify warranty coverage and ensure repairs meet manufacturer guidelines.
- Review technician stories, labor operations, parts, sublet, and other claim-related information.
- Work with Service Advisors and Technicians to obtain missing information or documentation needed for claim submission.
- Monitor rejected, returned, and unpaid claims and work to correct and resubmit them promptly.
- Follow up on warranty claim status and outstanding receivables.
- Maintain accurate warranty records and documentation.
- Ensure warranty parts and documentation are handled according to manufacturer requirements.
- Assist with warranty audits and resolve discrepancies when necessary.
- Stay current on manufacturer warranty policies, procedures, and program changes.
- Communicate professionally with Service Advisors, Technicians, Parts personnel, management, and manufacturer representatives.
- Protect the dealership from unnecessary chargebacks by ensuring claims are properly documented and submitted according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
- Previous automotive dealership warranty or service department experience required.
- Warranty Administrator experience is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of GM warranty policies and procedures is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to review large amounts of information and identify discrepancies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working with computers and dealership management systems.
- Ability to work independently while also communicating effectively with the Service Department.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow issues through to resolution.
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced dealership environment.
