CentralCare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician to provide full-time Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine services at the DHS Workforce Care Clinic at the St. Elizabeth Campus in Washington DC. This is a great opportunity for a Physician to support our military and their families as federal civilian contractors (no military service required).
Any state license accepted.
Physician Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care Details:
- Experience: 1 year of experience working in an Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Primary Care role
- Pay: Hourly (1099)
- Benefit: Clinic Closed on Federal Holidays
- Availability: Full Time
- Schedule: M-F | 8a – 4:30p EST
o Clinic operates during established business hours as determined by the Government
o Duty hours may vary based on workload, mission requirements, or Government-directed activities
o On-call requirements may vary based on Government onsite events, emergency activations, or mission-critical operations
o Any on-call or extended-hour requirements will be coordinated in advance, except during emergencies
o The Contractor is responsible for assigning and managing all work schedules and duty hours for its personnel in response to contract requirements. The Government will not assign shifts or supervise work hours.
- Contract Length: 1 year (w/ opportunity to extend)
- Malpractice Insurance: We Cover for Full Time (1mil/3mil claims made)
- Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 45-60 days
Physician Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care Responsibilities:
- Evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute, non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries common to urgent care settings
- Conducting occupational health services including pre-employment examinations, medical surveillance exams, fitness-for-duty evaluations, return-to-work assessments, and work-related injury evaluations
- Interpretation of diagnostic studies (e.g., labs, EKGs, imaging results when available)
- Management of minor procedures (e.g., wound care, splinting, laceration repair, I&D as appropriate)
- Assessment and stabilization of emergent conditions and coordination of transfer to higher levels of care when required
- Medical oversight and consultation to clinic nursing staff and allied health professionals
- Documentation of clinical encounters in the designated electronic health record system in accordance with Government requirements
- Participation in clinic quality improvement activities and adherence to established clinical protocols
- Proficiency in occupational health standards and workers’ compensation principles
- Ability to perform physical examinations and medical evaluations for employment-related determinations
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, medical surveillance programs, and workplace injury management
- Competency in health record and medical information record keeping
- Ability to adapt to changing clinic demands and Government mission requirements
Physician Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified or Eligible in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related specialty.
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state accepted.
- Active DEA
- Active BLS (required), ATLS (preferred)
