Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and answer questions about food, beverages, and specials with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation quality and adhering to food safety standards.
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and upselling to enhance guest experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed and support bussing or host/hostess duties during busy periods.
- Build strong guest relations through attentive service, personalized recommendations (including wine knowledge and cocktail experience), and friendly engagement.
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a welcoming attitude and ability to foster guest loyalty.
