Postdoctoral Research Associate
Department of Nutrition and Integrative Physiology
University of Utah – Boudina Laboratory
The Boudina Laboratory in the Department of Nutrition and Integrative Physiology at the University of Utah is seeking a highly motivated and creative Postdoctoral Research Associate to investigate the metabolic and epigenetic mechanisms underlying cardiomyopathy.
Research Focus
The successful candidate will join a dynamic research team focused on understanding how alterations in metabolism and epigenetic regulation contribute to cardiac dysfunction. The project integrates cutting-edge approaches in cardiovascular biology, metabolism, and gene regulation, with an emphasis on translational relevance.

Responsibilities
Design, execute, and troubleshoot experimental studies related to cardiomyopathy
Conduct day-to-day laboratory research using molecular, cellular, and/or physiological techniques
Analyze and interpret experimental data
Prepare and publish manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals
Contribute to grant writing and fellowship applications
Mentor graduate students, undergraduate trainees, and research staff
Minimum Qualifications
Preferences
Applicants must hold a Ph.D., degree in a relevant field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in one or more of the following areas:
Candidates should demonstrate a strong publication record, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Eligibility to apply for NIH postdoctoral training grants or fellowships (e.g., F32, T32) is required.
