The Precast Company, located in Northeast Houston, is focused on the manufacturing of precast concrete products. We are currently seeking an experienced Drafter to join our team. In this role, you’ll be the backbone of drawing quality & control, providing support and guidance for all drafting deliverables. You’ll ensure that every drawing meets company standards, aligns with project schedules, and flows seamlessly through the project lifecycle. Responsibilities
· Organize and manage all project-related drawings from start to finish
· Perform QA/QC reviews on all deliverables
· Coordinate concurrent drawing use across multiple projects
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistency and quality
· Track drawing progress through each phase of design and construction
· Provide hands-on direction to support smooth and timely delivery of drawings
· Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
·1+ year of strong AutoCAD experience, with proficiency in both 2D and 3D design technologies.
· Experience with document coordination and documents management systems
· A practical understanding of Sanitary Sewer, Storm Sewer, and Underground Utility systems
· Ability to multitask across projects and work effectively under tight deadlines
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills
· A keen eye for quality and a mindset for continuous improvement
CAD certification or licensure is not required, but is considered a plus
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Work is normally performed in an interior office with some exposure to an interior manufacturing facility. There is moderate physical activity which could include the handling of objects up to 50 pounds. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
