Overview
Metals of Honor is seeking an experienced (2+ years) Press Brake Operators to join our Lake Mary, FL manufacturing team. Come be a part of a TEAM, not just a number.You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to bend and shape sheet metal according to exact specifications. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision fabrication and ensuring high-quality components meet strict industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor press brake machines to produce precise bends according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to ensure accurate fabrication
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other tools to verify dimensions and quality of finished parts
- Adjust tooling, dies, and machine parameters to optimize performance and maintain high-quality output
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on press brake equipment to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe, welding, and other machining processes
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process using hand tools and inspection gauges to ensure compliance with specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety protocols including crane operation and proper handling of sheet metal materials
Experience
- Proven experience (2+ years) operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, setup, and operation for various machining equipment including CNC laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC mills, lathes, and EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) tools
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings for precise fabrication work
- Ability to use hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments effectively
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, angles, and material requirements
- Experience working with sheet metal fabrication processes including stamping presses and tooling setup
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to crane operation, welding techniques, machining equipment use, and material handling
- Strong mechanical aptitude combined with a commitment to quality inspection and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
