American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position in a New Jersey hospital, requiring scrub and circulate proficiency across multiple surgical specialties and an active NJ RN license.

Operating Room (OR) in an acute care hospital setting
-
Surgical specialties include orthopedic, general, urology, and robotic procedures
-
Patient population spans pediatric through geriatric
-
AM shift, 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
-
12.5-hour shifts, 3 days per week (37.5 hours/week)
-
No on-call required

Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
-
Travelers may be floated to a nearby sister hospital
-
Active NJ RN license (NJ or compact) required
-
BLS certification required
-
CNOR certification preferred
-
Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required

Must be able to scrub and circulate across multiple surgical specialties including ortho, general, urology, and robotics

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred

2 professional references required for consideration

Provides perioperative nursing care across the full continuum, including pre-operative and post-operative assessment and patient education

Supports Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) by evaluating orders for appropriateness based on proposed surgery, patient age, and health status

Individualizes patient care according to procedure type and anesthesia plan

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Travelers who have been on assignment for one calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before returning to a new assignment at this facility
