We're a small outpatient psychiatric clinic in Fort Collins, Colorado specializing in Spravato and ketamine-assisted treatment. We're looking for an experienced billing contractor to manage our claims cycle and prior authorizations. This is a low-volume practice with a small, well-defined set of billing codes, no high-volume CPT complexity here.
What you'll own:
- Insurance claims: aging reports, ERA review/posting (auto and manual), bank statement cross-referencing
- Secondary payer claims (largely Medicaid, via payer portal)
- Manual claim entry as needed through medical/insurance portals
- Eligibility and benefits verification
- Prior authorization process for Spravato
- Spravato REMS and savings program enrollment for client
- Insurance appeals for nonpayment
- Records requests
Bonus if you can also help with:
- Patient scheduling and rescheduling
- Patient phone calls and messaging
You should have:
- Experience with medical billing, ideally medical/psychiatric/behavioral health
- Comfort with payer portals, ERA posting, and prior auth workflows
- Familiarity with Office Ally, Spruce, IntakeQ, Availity, or CoverMyMeds a plus
- Spravato/REMS experience a strong plus
- Based in or near Fort Collins preferred, but open to remote-only for the right fit
- Working knowledge of HIPAA
