Provides administrative and clerical support to Property Managers and the Property Operations Department. This position assists with daily property management functions, resident communications, and compliance-related activities to ensure efficient and effective operations of assigned housing communities.

Provides direct administrative support to Property Managers, including scheduling, document preparation, and file management.

Assists with processing resident paperwork, including applications, recertifications, interim changes, and lease documentation.

Maintains accurate and uptodate resident and property files in both electronic and paper systems.

Prepares and distributes notices, correspondence, and reports in accordance with housing authority and HUD requirements.

Answers phones and greets residents and visitors; responds to general inquiries or directs individuals to appropriate staff.

Assists with rentrelated documentation, payment tracking, and followup communications as directed.

Coordinates and tracks work orders and communicates with maintenance staff and residents regarding service requests.

Supports unit inspections by scheduling appointments and preparing necessary documentation.

Assists with movein and moveout processes, including preparing files and resident communications.

Enters and updates data in property management software systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Maintains knowledge of HUD regulations and housing authority policies relevant to assigned duties.

Performs other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Valid Ohio driver’s license and be insurable under SMHA policies.

One (1) year of administrative, clerical, or property management experience preferred.

Experience in affordable housing or familiarity with HUD programs is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn specialized property management software.

Working Conditions.
Work is performed in an office environment with frequent interaction with residents and staff. Occasional travel to housing sites delivering various notices to SMHA occupants.
