Job Overview
We are urgently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Screening/Window Glazing and Door Fabrication Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise fabrication, assembly, and installation of window glazing, doors fabrication, and related components. Your expertise will ensure that all products meet quality standards and safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a team in a manufacturing environment, contributing to high-quality building products that enhance both functionality and aesthetics.
Duties
- Use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and machining equipment to cut, shape, assemble, and install materials such as glass, and metal components.
- Measure dimensions precisely using tape measures, and other measurement tools to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality control.
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse or manufacturing setting, including proper storage and transportation of glass panels, framing materials, and fabricated components.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all fabrication and assembly processes to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assemble window frames, doors, and glazing following detailed printed instructions while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Experience
- Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments with a focus on window glazing, screening and door fabrication.
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in interpreting detailed written instruction helpful.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and machining equipment for fabrication tasks.
- Hands-on experience with handling and reading of a tape measure for precise measurements required for quality control, the ability to easily covert measurements into computed decimals.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to materials handling, machinery operation, and manufacturing environment protocols. Additional training and machine operation will be provided.
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
Midwest Window & Door Corp. is seeking qualified applicants for a full time production position. We are a window and door manufacturer and building products distributor, doing business in Springfield, Mo since 1957. Our work schedule is a 5 day work week (9 hours per day Mon-Thurs 7:00am-4:30pm and Fri 7:00am-12:00am)
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
