Position Overview
CultuR Cannabis is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Post Harvest Manager to lead all post-harvest operations at our state-licensed recreational cultivation facility. This role owns the full post-harvest workflow — from coordinating harvest timing with the cultivation team through drying, curing, burping, turning, bucking, trimming, and final packaging of recreational cannabis product.
Beyond hands-on process management, the Post Harvest Manager serves as the primary supervisor for all post-harvest processing staff, taking ownership of scheduling, onboarding, and ongoing training. This individual is expected to operate with a strong compliance mindset, uphold rigorous data collection standards, and continuously drive improvements in quality, efficiency, and team performance. Success in this role requires someone who can balance strategic planning with day-to-day execution — delegating effectively while staying close to the details that matter.
What You’ll Do
- Champion compliance at every step — staying current with Missouri recreational cannabis regulations, OSHA safety requirements, and internal SOPs.
- Set the standard for facility cleanliness, organization, and adherence to established procedures.
- Build and manage weekly post-processing schedules covering harvest, drying, curing, trimming, bucking, and packaging, guiding product through the full cycle to final package.
- Coordinate product testing in alignment with state regulations and oversee ongoing quality monitoring throughout each stage of processing.
- Actively monitor dry room conditions and the status of all product currently drying.
- Accurately capture and record wet and dry weights for all flower and trim.
- Lead the trim team — assigning tasks to Harvest Techs, tracking individual efficiency, quality output, trim-to-flower ratios, and overall batch progress.
- Own quality control for all outbound product. Oversee bulk packaging, vault storage, and preparation of product for both retail and wholesale distribution channels.
- Partner with the Facility Manager to build and maintain inventory management procedures, including digital tracking systems and organization of physical space, shelving, and containers in accordance with seed-to-sale compliance requirements.
- Manage product scheduling updates, facilitate final compliance checks and testing, and provide support for sales-related coordination.
- Lead monthly team training sessions to keep staff aligned with current regulatory requirements and any system or process updates.
- Attend and contribute to weekly staff meetings; assign performance accountability and conduct regular audits.
- Maintain accurate METRC inventory records through consistent daily, weekly, and monthly audits as required by both company policy and state law.
- Keep tabs on consumable inventory levels and proactively communicate restocking needs to management.
- Drive continuous improvement by developing new logs, audit tools, and operational protocols that strengthen the facility’s quality management system.
- Collaborate with the Cultivation team to define, monitor, and elevate key performance metrics. Produce and deliver monthly management reports covering product performance, yield data, and actionable improvement strategies.
- Prepare and submit additional reports as requested by leadership.
- Take on additional responsibilities as the role and facility evolve.
