From commuters and recreational cyclists to competitive athletes, we help our customers find the right bikes, gear, and service solutions to enhance their riding experience. As a tourist-heavy destination, we provide a wide range of bicycle, e-bike, and accessory rentals while also offering biking tours, full bike and e-bike services, as well as new bike, e-bike, and bike accessory retail.
Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Retail Sales Manager to lead our sales team, drive front-of-store performance, and create an outstanding customer experience. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with retail management experience, excellent sales skills, and a passion for cycling. Applicants should be adept at managing staff, problem-solving, and dealing with all types of customers while also assisting with store opening and closing procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership
- Lead, coach, and drive retail sales to achieve sales goals and performance targets.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales metrics and implement strategies to increase revenue.
- Provide exceptional customer service and demonstrate product knowledge.
Store Operations
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Manage daily bicycle and e-bike rental operations.
- Manage inventory levels, merchandising displays, and product presentation.
- Coordinate with service department staff to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming retail environment.
- Ensure all demos and rentals are prepared for customer use and testing.
Customer Experience
- Build lasting relationships with customers and local cycling communities.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Organize and support shop events, group rides, and community outreach activities.
Inventory & Merchandising
- Assist with purchasing decisions and inventory planning.
- Monitor stock levels and recommend replenishment orders.
- Ensure seasonal and promotional merchandise is displayed effectively.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of retail sales experience, preferably in sporting goods, outdoor recreation, or bicycle retail.
- 1+ years of management or supervisory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant curriculum.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Knowledge of bicycles, cycling accessories, and cycling culture preferred.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) and inventory management systems.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for cycling and active participation in the cycling community.
- Experience managing inventory and merchandising programs.
- Familiarity with bicycle brands, components, and accessories.
