Job Overview:
***Aerospace CNC Machinist Experience Required:***
Individual will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) lathe machines to produce precision parts and components. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC Lathe to perform turning operations,
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements
- Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials for each job
- Load raw materials into the machine and monitor the machining process to ensure accuracy and quality
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to achieve desired results
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, and calipers
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
Skills:
- Proficiency in Mastercam/Fusion 360 programming language
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining principles and techniques
- Experience with CAM programming software
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and bore gauges
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Proficiency in using power tools for machine setup and maintenance
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
